Beginning thespians who are currently in grades K-6 stretch their imagination with our theater day camps which align with all Washoe County School District breaks. Due to the length and intensity of these day camps, these camps are best suited for students who have started or have finished kindergarten.

Super Pets Unleashed

June 19-23

Woosh! Zoom! Pow! Superpower pets have been unleashed on the city to defeat their biggest foe! Using their body, voice, and imagination, campers will create their own “Super Hero Pet” and collaborate with other super pets to tell a super powerful story.  With dance and music thrown in, it’s sure to be an adventure-inspired week.

Dragons, Mermaids and Unicorns Oh My!

The fantastical world of mythical beasts and creatures inspire character creation and magical stories. From training dragons to locating the elusive unicorn, students will explore and create their own magical kingdom! With music and dance added into the magic, it’s sure to be a week of mythical proportions!

Step into the spotlight and join us for the Broadway Showstoppers Camp! Let your child's creativity and talent shine as they learn and perform songs and dances from some of the biggest Broadway hits.

Grades 3-6

It's time to take center stage and join us for an unforgettable week. This camp is perfect for young performers who love singing, acting, and dancing, and who dream of one day making it to the bright lights of Broadway. These budding performing artists will learn many aspects of theatre, from audition techniques to stage presence, all while honing their skills as a triple threat performer

Bad Guys:
The Art of Villainy

July 24-28

Calling all Bad Guys! It's time to embrace your inner villain and explore the art of playing the villain. Through theatre games and the “Actors Toolbox” students will get a chance to discover what it takes to play the perfect bad guy. With singing and dancing thrown in, it’s sure to be a wickedly fun week!

Grades 3-6

What makes someone truly bad? Are “Bad Guys” really all that bad all the time? This camp will focus on the “who and why” aspect of villainy. Through theatre games, creative movement, and improvisation, students will create their own villain and explore what caused them to become so deliciously evil in the first place.

Enchanted Elements

July 31-August 4

Grades K-2

Unleash your child's creativity and let their imagination soar! This week young campers will explore the four elements of earth, wind, fire, and water through the magical world of theatre. Through theatre games, music, and dance, kids will experience the wonders of nature like never before!

Grades 3-6

What if there was a city where fire, water, land, and air residents live together? Using the Pixar film “elementals” as a guide, this camp will focus on all our wonderful differences and more importantly, what we actually have in common. Through creative collaboration and using the “Actor’s Toolbox”, these young artists will create their own element bending adventure. Come embark on this earth bending adventure!

Pirates of the Wild West

August 7-11, 2023

Set sail for adventure and saddle up for a wild ride This week we will embark on a thrilling adventure through a world of pirates and cowboys. With theatre games, singing, and dancing, it’s sure to be a week full of swashbuckling excitement and cowboy fun!

Grades 3-6

Ahoy mateys and howdy partners! This week takes campers on a journey through the rugged terrain of the Wild West and the treacherous waters of the high seas. These young performers will bring to life the unforgettable characters and stories of the Wild West and pirate lore! It’s sure to be a week full of daring escapades and theatrical fun!

Education Programming Refund Policy

  • Cancellation more than 4 weeks before a class/camp begins will result in a full refund, minus a $25 cancellation fee per class/camp.

  • Cancellation more than 2 weeks before a class/camp begins will result in a full refund, minus a $50 cancellation fee per class/camp.

  • Cancellation within 1-2 weeks of a class/camp beginning will result in a class/camp credit, minus a $50 cancellation fee per class/camp.

  • Cancellation 1 week or less before a class/camp begins will result in no refund or credit.

  • Exceptions will be considered for students with COVID-19 symptoms.
