Break Camps

Beginning thespians who are currently in grades K-6 stretch their imagination with our theater day camps which align with all Washoe County School District breaks. Due to the length and intensity of these day camps, these camps are best suited for students who have started or have finished kindergarten.

Each camp week ends with a student showcase for family and friends. Each student receives 2 complimentary tickets with additional tickets at a pay-what-you-wish price.

Step into the bustling heart of a city where every creature has a story.  At Animal Metropolis, campers can become their favorite animals, dive into their city streets, and tell their own stories of adventure, collaboration, and transformation. Through creative storytelling, singing, and movement, these young performers will learn fun choreography and songs inspired by the city’s rhythm and energy. This amazing metropolis will come to life in an end-of-the-week showcase for families and friends.

Get ready to leap into adventure, creativity, and fun. Inspired by Zootopia and its rich themes of diversity, dreaming big, and breaking stereotypes, this camp offers young performers a chance to dive deeper into the bustling metropolis where teamwork, courage, and creativity rule. Campers will act, sing, and improvise their way through original stories that explore teamwork, storytelling, and problem-solving—Zootopia-style. This amazing metropolis will come to life in an end-of-the-week showcase for families and friends.

The magic of Oz is calling once more. This camp, inspired by Wicked and the world of Oz, gives young performers an opportunity to dive into a story of friendship, courage, and the power to defy expectations. Through creative storytelling, singing, and movement, these campers will learn stage skills, teamwork, and confidence in a fun magical setting. Families will have the opportunity to see these spellbinding Oz characters perform in an end-of-the-week showcase

Step into the world of Once Upon a Spell. This camp, inspired by Wicked: For Good, gives young performers a chance to explore both light and shadow and tap into complex emotions like courage, doubt, hope, and love. Through acting, singing, and movement, campers will create their own original scenes, inspired by the characters they love—and maybe a few new ones too!
Families will have the opportunity to see these spellbinding witches and wizards perform in an end-of-the-week showcase.

Education Programming Refund Policy

  • Cancellation more than 4 weeks before a class/camp begins will result in a full refund, minus a $25 cancellation fee per class/camp.

  • Cancellation more than 2 weeks before a class/camp begins will result in a full refund, minus a $50 cancellation fee per class/camp.

  • Cancellation within 1-2 weeks of a class/camp beginning will result in a class/camp credit, minus a $50 cancellation fee per class/camp.

  • Cancellation 1 week or less before a class/camp begins will result in no refund or credit.

  • Exceptions will be made on a case-by-case basis for students with illness or family emergencies.
