Step into the spotlight in this dynamic and collaborative musical theater class for advanced musical theatre students ages 14-18*. Students will work on solos, in pairs, and in small groups to explore iconic and contemporary musical theatre scenes—from comedic duets to heartfelt ensemble moments. Each student will deepen their acting, singing, and character development skills while learning how to bring a scene to life with emotional truth, vocal technique, and strong storytelling.

Throughout the class, students will:

  •   Develop characters through script and lyric analysis

  •   Strengthen vocal performance and musical interpretation

  •   Improve movement and blocking for scenes

  •   Learn to collaborate with scene partners

  •   Gain confidence performing in front of an audience

The class culminates in a cabaret-style performance for family and friends, where students will share selected scenes and musical numbers polished throughout the 12-week session.

This class is not designed for beginners; however, younger students or students with fewer than 3 musical theatre credits may be admitted with instructor permission.
