Our education program offers three productions every season. Two Broadway Our Way productions for students ages 9-18 and our Teens Speak Out production where students ages 13-19 tackle a social justice topic chosen by them.
Desperate Housewives of Shakespeare

Okay, these housewives may not be real, but they are desperate. Shakespeare has been manipulating and twisting their lives for six plays now, and they desperately want to escape his evil machinations. But are they desperate enough to commit murder? Shakespeare has been found dead: stabbed, poisoned, starved, choked, bitten by an asp, and even turned into a baardvark. Lady Macbeth, Juliet, Kate, Rosalind, Cleopatra, and Titania all had the means and the motive to kill Shakespeare, but who really did it? This comic tragedy (or is that tragic comedy?) has all of the action of a Shakespearean play but with none of those angsty monologues about the meaning of life.

We’ve all seen fractured fairy tales before, but never quite like this one, which takes a hilarious detour through Robin Hood’s Nottingham and Sherwood Forest! Little Red Robin Hood must deal with the Big Bad Sheriff of the Naughty Hams (the Three Little Pigs, that is!), who do the bidding of Prince John, the vain Emperor who is eager to try on his magic new suit being woven by Cinderella’s deceitful stepsisters. With Humpty Dumpty, Black Sheep, Rose Red, and Simple Simon acting as her Merry Men, Little Red Robin Hood must save all the village grannies of Sherwood Forest, including her own, an old woman who lives in a shoe, Mother Hubbard, and Mother Goose herself.

This Musical theatre class is designed for students who love to sing, dance, and perform on stage. From Frosty Hand Jive to Sleigh Ride and You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch, there's something for everyone to enjoy.
