Welcome to opening night of the Cornley University Drama Society’s newest production, The Murder at Haversham Manor, where things are quickly going from bad to utterly disastrous. This 1920s whodunit has everything you never wanted in a show—an unconscious leading lady, a corpse that can’t play dead, and actors who trip over everything (including their lines). Nevertheless, the accident-prone thespians battle against all odds to make it through to their final curtain call, with hilarious consequences! Part Monty Python, part Sherlock Holmes, this Olivier Award–winning comedy is a global phenomenon that’s guaranteed to leave you aching with laughter!

Why The Play That Goes Wrong?- a statement from the Artistic Leadership Committee

The Artistic Leadership Committee chose The Play That Goes Wrong to bring laughter and lighthearted fun to our 91st season. This brilliantly crafted comedy celebrates the joy of theater through its hilarious mishaps and relentless energy, reminding us why we love live performance. It has long been at the top of our list, and after carefully investigating its significant technical requirements, we are thrilled to finally make it possible. Thanks to our partnerships with GLM and the McKinley Arts Center, which free up our own space, we now have the resources to pull off this behemoth of a show—ensuring our audiences can come together to escape, laugh, and share in the magic of imperfection onstage.
