Singer/songwriter Wellington Bullings is a powerhouse of soulfulness and emotional depth. Her sultry vocals draw inspiration from Soul & Jazz pioneers of the 60’s & 70’s era. Her music transcends genre, conveying an elegant and refreshing sound that is deeply rooted in Soul and enriched by Jazz undertones. The poetic nature of her lyrics lend itself to the folk world, revealing a soundscape of storytelling that is fiercely original.

Wellington’s debut album titled, 'Because I Want To' was released in July, 2020. The project featured all original material touching on themes of empowerment, love, heartbreak, and soul searching. 'Because I Want To' garnered positive reviews from local and national press. In a recent interview, American Songwriter Magazine wrote in an article about Wellington; ‘with the technical skill to bolster her innate talent for music, Bullings is an artist to watch.' Sound In Review called her 'one to watch for creating a pop-jazz sound that is modern, sexy, expressive, and genuinely conveyed', while 303 Magazine has described her voice as 'full-bodied' and 'decadent.'

Wellington released a single titled ‘Flame,’ that explores themes of black excellence and offers a positive narrative to the black community, after the racial injustices that resurfaced in 2020. The project was coupled with an impactful music video that features collaborations with local black artists and creatives. The song has been placed in a documentary about racism, titled “This is [Not] Who We Are.” As a seasoned performer, Wellington has opened for international artists such as Mereba, YOLA, & Derrick Hodge, among many others. The Berklee College of Music alum, Wellington Bullings continues to perform and tour worldwide. Her second album will be released in early 2026.

John Stowell began his successful career with guitar lessons in his native Connecticut from guitarist Linc Chamberlind, and from John Mehegan, pianist and respected jazz educator at the Julliard School of Music and Yale University. Several years later he met noted bassist David Friesen in NYC and launched a critically acclaimed touring and recording association that lasted 7 years, included 6 albums, and performances in Europe, Canada, USA and Australia. During that time, John also moved to Oregon. Paul Horn, John, David Friesen and Robin Horn were invited to perform in the Soviet Union. It was the first time in 40 years that American jazz musicians had been invited to play public performances in Russia, paving the way for many others to follow. In 1977 Stowell recorded his debut album Golden Delicious; which included pianist Jim McNeely, bassist Mike Richmond, and drummer Billy Hart.

He has been an artist-in-residence at schools in Germany, Indonesia, Argentina, the United States and Canada. He served as assistant director and performer at Oregon Public Broadcasting's PDX Jazz Summit in 1991, and since 1995 has been a contributing columnist for a number of magazines, including Down Beat, Guitar Player, Canadian Musician, Soundcheck (Germany), and Guitar Club (Italy). In Germany, he teaches at Jazz & Rock Schulen Freiburg with Frank Haunschild, with whom he plays regularly. He has also worked with Uwe Kropinski, Dave Liebman, Hiram Mutschler, Gérard Pansanel, Gustavo Assis-Brasil, David Becker, and Nicolao Valiensi. In 2005 he published Jazz Guitar Mastery (book and DVD).
