Meet Our Team

Development Officer

Jessica Johnson
(she/they)

Jessica Johnson was born and raised in Reno, and lived for seven years in Southern California where she graduated from Chapman University with a M.A. in Film and Television Studies and a B.A. in Theatre Studies. She is a lifelong lover of the theatrical arts, serving as a director, writer, performer, and stage manager, and she provides dramaturgical services through her company What Happens Next, working on both plays and musicals in Reno, Anaheim, Los Angeles, and Auckland, New Zealand. In addition to her work in local theater, she has spent the past two years upon her return to her hometown working as a communications manager, administrator, and bookkeeper for several Northern Nevada history-based organizations, including the Sparks Heritage Museum, the Historic Reno Preservation Society, and the Historic Fourth Ward School Museum. Directing 2022’s production of Tiny Beautiful Things for Reno Little Theater’s 88th Season marked her first time working with the organization, and she is deeply honored, grateful, and absolutely thrilled to have the opportunity to now be able to work full time with RLT as their Development Officer!
