Reno Little Theater's Future Home!

Last year, we sold our large warehouse building facing Wells Avenue and engaged a Reno architect to design a new theater!

The architect is Lewis Zaumeyer, with the firm ArchideA. Lewis is also Chairman of the Board of the Brüka Theatre, so he is intimately familiar with theater needs. We have selected McCaffrey Fine Homes of Reno as a General Contractor. Our goal is to break ground this summer and to open the theater during out next season. There have been some minor changes to the floor plan, shown here.

The new theater will be built on our Pueblo Street property between Wells and Holcomb. The performance area will be a "black box", with 99 seats. We will be able to arrange the seats for conventional proscenium plays, theater-in-the-round, thrust, and other configurations (examples).

The funds from the sale of our warehouse will be sufficient to open the theater, using our ancient stage lights from the Sierra Street theater and other, existing equipment. We will be seeking new funding to properly furnish the building.

This is certainly an exciting time for Reno Little Theater, and we look forward to all of our friends joining us in our new home. If you would like to help us fulfill the dream, you are certainly welcome! Watch this space for progress!
