All of us at Reno Little Theater wish to pay our respects following the recent, tragic death of actress, volunteer, and past Board member Joan Varley. Joan was a great person, and we are the worse for her loss. She came to RLT in 2004 when director Doug Mishler cast her in Play it Again, Sam. Dr. Mishler says he loved working with Joan as she was a fine actress. Yet, there was more to Joan than just her talent. She worked hard and had a great joy for life. Joan was one who could always be called on to help out in a pinch. Indeed, she tried to help everyone, and left the mark of her kindness on everyone she touched. Our hearts go out to her family at this difficult time. We shall miss you, Joan.
